V.P. Shettima Graces Akesan Day, Meets Abiodun, Sanwo-Olu, Bello, Others In Ogun, Demands Peace, United Nigeria
At the annual Akesan Day celebrations, Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, on Saturday, met four governors under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Babajide Sanwo Olu (Lagos) Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Abdulrasak AbdulRahaman (Kwara) and Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) in Iperu area of Ogun State where he demanded for a more united Nigeria.
Shettima added that Nigeria’s multicultural diversity should rather be seen as a source of strength and not division.
The Vice President said this at the 37th annual Akesan Day held at the Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu Remo, the hometown of the state governor.
He said the administration of President Bola Tinubu recognised the roles of traditional institutions in navigating the intricacies of the country’s diversity and would therefore always prioritize activities that are designed to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of all the tribes in the country.
Shettima further noted that the commitment as articulated by the president to ensure positive transformation in the lives of Nigerians stand firm and would work round the clock to achieve these goals.

Also speaking at the event, the state governor, Mr. Dapo Abiodun said his administration would continue to build on his achievements to make life far better for the residents of the state.
