Remo Stars regained the top spot of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) after an emphatic 3-0 win against. South West rivals, Shooting Stars of Ibadan at the Remo Stadium in Ikenne.
The win was not only the biggest in the midweek fixtures but same against the Oluyole warlords whom they decimated in all department of the game.
The defeat is the third for Shooting Stars in their seven clashes. Remo Stars are yet to lose to Shooting Stars.
The win takes the Ikenne club to 12 points and a return to the top of the table, even with an outstanding away game with Enyimba.
After a cagey start, Remo Stars shot ahead in the 20th minute through Ahmed Akinyele, before top scorer, Sikiru Alimi doubled the lead through a penalty kick in the 40th minute.

He increased the deficit for Shooting Stars when he scored the third goal in the 64th minute.
