You’ve A Case To Answer  — DCP Tells Victim Of Armed Robbery Case Whose Belongings Was Stolen

A case of armed robbery at Osun State, reported to Iwo divisional police, Adeeke Police Station, Osun State command has put Mrs. Hammed Taiwo home and her character into questionable observations.

One Hammed Taiwo O. of NO 59, Oke-Afo quarters has reported at Iwo police station that on the 12th day of October, 2022 of about 0200hrs. that her belongings was stolen.

The case of the armed robbery was later transferred to Divisional police headquarters, AR:3100/OSS/IW/VOL.5/42 dated 27th of October 2022 of about 0200hrs.

“I was inside my bedroom sleeping with my only child of 8-year old when I suspected that three armed robbers have already burgled into our bedroom through the window and carted away with all our valuable items.”

“My husband who is a traveler and wasn’t around at the time of the incident, was able to believe what actually played out and at the end of the whole scene caused by the robbery his relatives couldn’t believe and were calling for my arrest, busy intimidating and victimising me. It has makes my husband to feels disturbed. His belongings, that of my baby were also taken away without sparing anything meaningful. I was forced to drop my ATM pin, later in the following day that I went to lodge complain to my bank, I discovered the alert of N79,000 was debited from my savings account”, the woman said.

When asked what was carted away; she mentioned the below items:

Unregistered Toyota Sienna Space wagon vehicle wine burgundy colour

2 LG 32 inches plasma television

Hot 7 Infinix cell phone

Some kitchen items

Home sounds system

And some other items valued at the sum of seven million, nine hundred and sixty thousand, five hundred Naira.

“After a careful consideration of the facts contained in the duplicate reported case file, the security agencies she reported the case to was of the view that there are sufficient facts to establish offences of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and Armed Robbery: contrary to Sections 299, and 297(2) of the Criminal Law.”

She however hereby cries out to call the attention of the general public to keep informed and take note of any properties being sold to them. Those properties might be our stolen belongings, she said.
