Chelsea: Mikel Obi Names Manager Lampard Should Emulate
Chelsea legend, John Obi Mikel, has revealed that he wants caretaker manager Frank Lampard to emulate Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp or Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola after his return to Stamford Bridge.
Mikel Obi said this while reacting to the sacking of Graham Potter.
Chelsea recently sacked Potter and appointed Lampard to temporarily take charge of the first team until the end of the season.
Speaking with Dubai Eye 103.8 Sport, the former Super Eagles captain wants Lampard to communicate with Chelsea players on the pitch.

Mikel Obi said, “I think Graham Potter was given a lot of time. The club made the right decision to sack him. Was the club too big for him to manage, maybe because when I see him on the touchline it’s like he really doesn’t know what to do or how to communicate with the players.
“With Graham, I was not seeing that, even with Lampard [when he first managed Chelsea], I didn’t see that.
“But I hope that now that he has come back, he will be more like Klopp or Guardiola. When you see these managers, they are always emotional, it’s like they want to be on the pitch. I want to see that with Frank [in his second managerial spell at Chelsea].”
