Former PDP Councilor, Sulaiman Badmus Unseats Sobukanla, APC Candidate, Emerges As Ikenne Assembly Elect

The former speaker of Ikenne Local Government Legislative Council from Ikenne State Constituency, ward 7 Ogere Remo within 2004 and 2007 under the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Sulaiman Badmus Adeniye has emerged the winner at the polls to become the Ikenne State Constituency Assembly elect.

His closest challenger from the ruling party, Honourable Sobukanla Olakunle of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 9,221 votes to come second while the candidate of the ADC trailed behind with him 418 votes and the overall winner, Hon. (Dr) Sulaiman Badmus Adeniye of People’s Democratic Party, won with the total votes of 12,182.

When his stewardship and scorecard as a former councilor was checked by our correspondent, it was gathered by Eaglesforesight briefly below twelves completed projects by him:

  1. Channelization of Ogbun behind Methodist Church through Itunseje to Igbo Agbon
  2. A block of 10 lock up shops at Ogere Toll-Gate
  3. Borehole at Taborrah Road, Ogere
  4. Borehole at Araromi, Ogere
  5. Borehole at Itunseje, Ogere
  6. Borehole at Sabo Mola, Ogere
  7. Repairs of stall at Obafuwa Market, Ogere
  8. Facilitation of Asphalting of Taborrah Road, Ogere
  9. Asphalt tarring of Lisa Idogun via Ogunware to Oke Oka Road.
  10. Construction of drainage of about 1.2km long on both sides of Awomosu Agbato Street, Ogere.
  11. Sinking of borehole with his partner with personal money at Central mosque, Ogere.
  12. Empowerment of farmers, barbers, hairdressers and scholarships for students among many other projects…

Meanwhile, reacting to his electoral victory,  Hon. (Dr) Sulaiman Badmus Adeniye popularly known as SB has expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for crowning the effort of the good people of Ikenne State Constituency with resounding success at the polls to elect him as their representative.

SB Adeniye maintained that the victory was a thoroughly deserved victory for the concerned people of Ikenne who wants a better government and change of power, for continuity and consolidation on the brilliant works of our leader and Governorship candidate, Hon. Adebutu Oladipupo.

“We came on Divine Mandate with Lado and together, we shall all work to meet the needs of Ikenne people, that is why our Manifesto is themed ‘Itura De’. I want us to be hopeful in prayers that Lado will reclaim back his mandate.” He said.

Sulaiman Adeniye is a Veterinary Doctor by profession. He holds Doctor Veterinary Science and Masters of Veterinary Science degrees from the prestigious University of Ibadan. He is a Muslim and a responsible family man.
