Remo Youth Association: 2023 General Elections Press Release
Members of the Press, Youth Leaders, Sons and Daughters of Remoland and Residents.
As we are aware that the General Elections commence today with the Presidential, Senate and Federal House of Representatives.
However, I want to use this medium to share my heartfelt Sympathy towards the recent property destruction in Sagamu as a result cash scarcity.
The Apex Youth Body in Remo hereby disassociates itself from the attacks of Banks, Local Government and other offices. The Members of the Association are law abiding citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
I will also want to appreciate our Royal Father who is also the Grand Royal Patron of the Association for his roleplay after the attacks.
Our dear state needs us, particularly the youth in the reconstruction and not further destruction.
As we go into the 2023 elections, please be ready to vote massively and shun any form of violence.
These elections will be democratically exercised and the outcomes of the elections will be significantly a reflection of what is expected in Remoland in the next Four (4) Years. Therefore, we urge all stakeholders most especially the Youths to uphold their commitment in ensuring a peaceful and inclusive election in which the people are able to freely exercise their right to vote, with the fundamental freedoms of expression, association and assembly fully respected.

I want to further harp on the need for our youths in Remoland to exercise their franchise in other to enthrone a more promising administration, assuring that it would channel its energy to fight oppression and oppressors by leveraging on the provisions of the Electoral Act and the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, which the Independent Electoral Commission introduced to secure the people’s votes.
It is not only our civic responsibility to vote but however the only POWER we have for our voices to be heard across the board.
We must further guide our votes by not engaging in any form of election violence.
I also want to reiterate on VOTE BUYING. No amount you can be offered that will last forever. Infact, whatever amount you are offered is for immediate gratification while we all suffer it for the next four years if not upcoming generations. Well may be we can conclude that the scarcity of Cash is a blessing in disguise towards achieving a democratic elections.
Voting is essential because it pushes a country’s democracy to function in a fair and equal way. The whole point of a democracy is to ensure that everyone has their chance to elect a candidate and vote for policies that represent and benefit their communities.
I also want to appeal to all INEC officials to do what is right and ensure the due process is followed.
It will also interest you to know that Remo Youth Association is not a political group but however we all play our civic role when it comes to ELECTIONS.
“Your voices are being heard and you’re proving to our ancestors that their struggles were not in vain. Now we have one more thing we need to do to walk in our true power, and that is to vote.”
May we witness the greater Nigeria of our dreams soonest.
God bless Nigeria!
God bless Ogun State!
God bless Remoland !!!
