Sagamu Riots: LG Boss, Ogbeni Afo Alleged PDP Candidates Of Sponsors, Vandalizing Of LG Secretariat, Properties Destruction

In a press conference that has the presence of Eaglesforesight correspondent with the Member representing Remo Federal Constituency, Honourable Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, Hon. Segun Shitta, Danku and other meaningful people of the town along with the councilors at the Local Government Secretariat, where the council Chairman, Ogbeni Afo alleged the opposition, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of sponsoring the chaos in the early hour on Monday in the town.

Ogbeni Afo in the live interview leads the people and the newsmen around to investigate what actually happened and how the secretariat was invaded.
“Today the good people of Sagamu Local Government, after would have prepared for their daily legitimate businesses and works, despite the effects of the fuel and naira scarcity, woke up to what we can best described as instigated protest that was instigated by some disgruntled politicians with the aides of their external machineries.”
“They are hellbent in making some cheap political gain from the redesign of naira notes, leveraging on our people’s emotions and the tense atmosphere to attack and damaging government infrastructures and properties, business premises and money deposit banks.”

“I am very much confidence that DSS and under concern security agencies are in better position to investigate and report where a candidate of People’s  Democratic Party (PDP), Omooba Damilare Mohammed Bello was reported to said he has the fore knowledge of the protest and he was also caught in the middle of the marching protests while the attack on the government infrastructures and damages of properties.”
“One should wonder why a protest against the naira redesign will now lead to this unimaginable destruction of our Local government Secretariat.”
“I hereby compel on all offices, our business owners, commercial banks, despite the pronouncements of the executive Governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, that the old naira notes should be accepted by all.”
“I want to appeal to all law abiding sagamites to remain calm while we as the government on our own side own it all as a duty to ensure that normalcy is restored back to the town.”
