Akande Lied, Connived With Tinubu To Sell Yoruba Race To Buhari —Adebanjo
The leader of the Pan-Yoruba sociocultural organisation, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, has accused the former governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande, of conniving with the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Senator Bola Tinubu, to ‘sell’ the Yoruba race to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Adebanjo, who spoke in an interview on Arise TV, on Tuesday, said the connivance is tilted towards making Tinubu become the country’s president.
Akande, in his recent book, titled ‘My Participation,’ had called out Chief Adebanjo on a number of issues.
Adebanjo, however, disputed Akande’s claim, saying Akade and others are regretting over their choice candidate, Buhari, at the moment despite being forewarned.

Adebanjo recalled signing Akande’s papers to become the governor of Osun State with the condition of a sovereign national conference for the restructuring of the country back to federalism but he reneged.
“He is already known to me as a pathological liar. His colleague, [Mojisoluwa] Akinfenwa, in his book said that is who he is. And those of us who know him also know.
He is just an apron string of Tinubu. He is too junior for me to be commenting on what he said. I signed his papers to be governor.”
Reacting to Akande’s claim that Tinubu built a house for him in Lekki, the Afenifere leader described the claim as false and tagged the former Osun State governor as ‘political neophyte’.
Akande had claimed in the book that Adebanjo coerced Tinubu to build a house for him in Lekki.
“Tinubu told me that after he presented Adebanjo’s C of O to him, Adebanjo was always pestering him until he helped built a house on the plot. The street was also named in honour of Adebanjo and he is living in that house now at Lekki Phase One,” Akande had claimed.
