Manchester United and Chelsea are unafraid of the £107 million asking price Napoli have put on their star striker Victor Osimhen, reports PUNCH Sports Extra.

The two Premier League giants are not deterred by the high demands of the Serie A giants to say goodbye to the Nigerian international in the summer of 2023.

As reported by Italian publication Napoli Magazine, Old Trafford and Graham Potter’s team are eyeing Osimhen and Napoli are also looking for possible replacements if the striker leaves.

According to the Italian website, Manchester United and Chelsea are not afraid of the amount that Aurelio De Laurentiis will ask for Osimhen, namely 120 million euros. If the Nigerian striker goes to the Premier League, Giuntoli and his staff are already working on a number of profiles.”

The Nigerian signed for the Partenopei of LOSC Lille in the summer of 2020. During his time in Italy, the 24-year-old has developed into a better striker season after season.

However, Osimhen has taken his game to the next level in the current campaign. In 20 appearances in all competitions, the striker found the back of the net 15 times and provided four assists.

Napoli are currently flying high and are currently at the top of the Serie A table, on their way to winning their first Scudetto in 33 years. The Partenopei were also excellent in the Champions League campaign, due to meeting Eintracht Frankfurt in the round of 16.
