Lame district chief Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Lame has urged Bauchi State Governor Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir to take urgent action for crude oil exploration in the local government area of Toro.

The traditional ruler made the call as the governor visited his palace in Gumau as a continuation of his campaign tour of the 20 LGAs in the state.

Aliyu Yakubu Lame stated that evidence from a series of local surveys conducted showed traces of large crude oil deposits and abundant mineral resources in Toro communities.

He went on to say that crude oil exploration in the Toro LGA will further deepen the sources of income that will flow not only to Bauchi state, but to Nigeria as a whole.

Yakubu Lame said that apart from reserves of crude oil, Toro has a huge field of gold deposits enough to support the Bauchi state for decades, hence the need for the government to step in and ensure that citizens benefit from the natural resources with which God blessed the area. .

According to him, “Over the years, most of our young people are engaged in mining activities for a living and doing good business.”

He added, “At the local government of Toro, we have enough tin and columbite to sustain the state of Bauchi without a dime from the Federation’s monthly bill allocation.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to ask for your indulgence, Your Excellency, to advocate for the full exploration of crude oil and other mineral deposits available in our country for the benefit of our people, the State of Bauchi and Nigeria as a whole, ” he said.

The Governor had previously unequivocally apologized to all civil servants on the payroll and the nominal role of the government for not getting the best out of his administration.

The governor apologized to the officials, but said it was not intentional to get them into trouble, but efforts to improve the civil service seamlessly and effortlessly.

However, the governor promised to improve the compensation and rewards of the entire workforce in the event of a second term as governor of the state.

Bala Mohammed also assured people of the state of his commitment to deliver more people-oriented projects and programs as he is doing now in his first term.

He praised the efforts of the district chief for being steadfast in winning projects from the state government for his people and ensuring peace reigned in the area despite the insecurity.

He then urged the people of Toro’s local government to massively support all PDP candidates in the upcoming general election to save Nigeria and reverse the country’s misfortunes.
