Prove your mettle, ensure victory for Tinubu, Dayo Israel tells the Rivers chapter
The National Youth Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Dayo Israel has urged members of the Rivers State chapter to prove their mettle and ensure that the party wins the state, saying they will support APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, and other candidates from the take sides in the upcoming general election.
Israel issued the call at the opening of the Rivers State branch of the Jagaban movement, a national youth mobilization unit structured into regions, states, LGAs, branches and polling stations, to mobilize young voters in favor of Asiwaju Tinubu and other party’s candidates in the 2023 polls.
Since the inauguration of the APC National Youth Wing Campaign Council in Kaduna State last month, Israel has continued its tour of the country to highlight local youth mobilization efforts organized under the Jagaban movement.
Speaking at the event, which took place in Port Harcourt against the backdrop of Governor Nyesom Wike’s reported decision to throw his weight behind the APC presidential candidate.
Israel dismissed reports and unverified rumors about Asiwaju Tinubu’s health, claiming that the former governor of Lagos boasts a better work rate than any other candidate in the election, with daily trips to different parts of the country to provide insight into his board manifesto, in addition to other key stakeholder meetings where sector-focused issues were discussed.
The APC leader instructed members of the Rivers State chapter to study the candidate’s manifesto and use its knowledge to win the hearts of young people in the nooks and crannies of the state.
He also encouraged the smart and effective use of tools made available to them, including the Canvasser’s Record Sheet, a data collection tool designed to help the party prosecute the election with up-to-date data on local voting trends and demographic data.
The event was attended by the party’s gubernatorial candidate Tonye Cole, who seized the moment to debunk notions of a rumored deal with the opposition to help his rise in the polls.
The party’s gubernatorial candidate reiterated his total and abiding loyalty to Tinubu and the APC, assuring meaningful support for the state branch of the Jagaban Movement to achieve success in its important quest for youth mobilization.
Other party leaders, including members of the state’s executive branch, also attended the event, with each taking turns pledging their allegiance to the cause and expressing optimism for victory on February 25.
