The Gombe State Government has assured all its contractors that it will provide funds to enable them to carry out the various ongoing projects.
The assurance was given by Commissioner of Works and Transport Engineer Abubakar Bappah during the signing of contract agreements for the construction of bridges, municipal roads, access roads in three proposed mega-schools and road network in three hospitals serving the three senatorial districts of the State.
Speaking at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport during the signing of the contract agreements, the Commissioner congratulated the contractors who have been named the best responsive bidders and awarded the contracts.
He assured them of prompt payment, just as he promised them that mobilization fees would be paid before the end of the week, and warned them to do quality work that will stand the test of time.
Engineer Bappah praised Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for approving the projects and his determination to build at least one hundred kilometers of roads in each of the state’s eleven local government areas, noting that the state government will award more road projects.
Engineer Imran Amir Khan of Triacta Nigeria Ltd, responding on behalf of the contractors, appreciated the state government for deeming the contract worthy and assured that they will deliver the projects within the time frame and specifications in the contract agreement.
Recall that the State Executive Council at its last meeting on Wednesday, which was chaired by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, following a successful bidding process, as contained in a statement from Information Officer Nerus Titus Dangabar.
