PDP sponsored ‘hedgehog protest’ against Buhari in Kano – claims APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that there has indeed been an attempt to embarrass President Muhammadu Buhari through protests and attacks during his recent visit to Kano State.
A statement on Tuesday by attorney Felix Morka, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, claimed that the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party, actually sponsored “random violent anti-social behavior by paid boys during presidential engagements in Kano.”
The statement called on law enforcement agencies to fish out the masterminds of the protest it accused the PDP of sponsoring.
The statement read in part: “2023 will go down in our country’s political history as the year of outright disgrace for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). No one imagined that the PDP would be able to surpass its own record of reckless, mindless and despicable undertakings on and off the board.
“The PDP has trashed every rule of law, ethical standards, morality, decency, courtesy, decency in its deviant obsession with power. Just when you think degenerate PDP have reached the abyss of rock bottom, they dig even deeper into crevices of shame.
“A statement from the PDP on President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent visit to Kano is nothing short of a confessional statement of conspiracy to commit a treasonous crime. By actively inciting and sponsoring marginally violent antisocial behavior by paid boys during presidential engagements in Kano, the PDP has crossed the line of honest campaign involvement into serious, culpable crime. This is unacceptable and requires urgent law enforcement investigation and prosecution of all participants in this serious crime.
“President Muhammadu Buhari was in Kano on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the request of the high-achieving state governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, to commission eight legacy projects, including a world-class cancer center for which the good people of Kano State are very grateful.
Apparently, the PDP is morbidly terrified of the cozy and strong relations between our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and President Muhammadu Buhari. As the leader of our party, President Buhari’s universe of good will and massive following benefits our visionary presidential candidate.
“The PDP is distraught and dejected by the bleak and irreparable hopelessness of its chances in the next general election. However, that does not give it the right to incite and commit treasonous acts in a desperate last ditch and orchestrated plot to incite Nigerians against our party.
“The Nigerian electorate is smart, mature, sensible and critical. We are convinced that they find the behavior of the PDP disturbing, appalling, repugnant and pitiful and will continue to ignore the party’s blatant falsehood and criminal behavior and reject the party and all its candidates from head to toe.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been and will remain an open and closed case for the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We urge the good Nigerian electorate to vote for our presidential candidate and all candidates from our great party.
