$50,000 video shoot: TG Omori begs Portable, says he’s ready to shoot video
Street and controversial singer, Portable appeared to have forced music video director TG Omori to shift his ground over the $50,000 video shooting fee demanded from the singer.
In what appeared to be a renewed social media “war” against Omori, Portable said on Tuesday night that he (Omori) wouldn’t have become famous if he hadn’t directed the popular song Zazu.
Recalled that Portable had approached Omori for the video recording of his latest single, but was shocked when Omori told him the recording would cost $50,000, a fee that Portable found outrageous.
They had both been throwing tantrums over the past few weeks.
Continuing to call out Omori, Portable said he was begged by the music video director to record his famous song when it started trending in December 2021, saying, “They begged me to let you shoot my video. You knew it was a popular song and the best song of the year, so you wanted to win based on the song’s success.
“I can clearly say that Omori jumped on Zazu because the song was trending and literally begged to let him shoot the video, even though Poco Lee tore me before God saved me.”
He also lashed out at the reigning music sensation, Seyi Vibez, for tapping his song to YBNL star Asake and urging Vibez to quit music if he couldn’t stop singing like Asake.
He took another swipe at Omori for using the same music video pattern for Vibez, who he says continues to use Asake’s style of music.
However, Omori, in his response, asked Portable to sheath his sword and said, “Like everyone I love and I’m not mad at him, if I were him I’d feel the same way, knowing that I might never have a have video better than zazoo.. E reach to call the director 7 times a day.
“I know it’s entertaining and all
but let’s stop the trend already. the noise interferes with my edits. Peace and salam.
Omori seemed to have given in to the pressure when he tweeted, “Okay, Portable, send the number, let’s shoot.”
