We flush out APC in Kaduna

Senator Mohammed Ahmed Makarfi, one-time chairman of the National Caretaker Committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has said that the opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), is now in an excellent position to support the Elrufai-led All Progressives Congress. APC) wipe out. government in the state in the upcoming elections.

Senator Makarfi, former governor of the state between 1999 and 2007, noted that the current APC in the state has nothing to offer.

He said it was based on this premise that he decided to stay at home to destroy all manner of threats that could work against the PDP before and during the elections in the state.

According to Senator Makarfi, the case for returning the PDP to power is huge in the state, which is why he apologized to follow the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar on a campaign tour of the country.

Answering questions from journalists on Tuesday about the PDP’s preparation for the upcoming election, the PDP leader said the PDP is the only political party without ethnic and religious sentiments from the three dominant political parties (LP, APC and PDP).

“Politics is local, I led the campaign here at home. If you barely notice you’ll see me at the national rally. Because my personal opinion is that work is at home. And the work at home is huge. And one should be at home to do what is necessary, not to be cheated.

“It’s not about following candidates on the campaign trail. I just told you I’m not going to work with our candidate, but I support our candidate 100 percent.

“And I am working 100 percent at home to make sure Kaduna returns to PDP. If you have the responsibility to stay home, stay home. If you don’t have the responsibility of staying at home, you can be anywhere. That’s the way. I don’t want to talk about anyone who’s not at the meeting.

“The problem is the voters, APC has nothing to show voters that will get voters excited to vote for them. But they want to use money, sentiment, and religious sentiment, and experience shows that this sentiment will get them nowhere.

“I believe that people want a state that is fair and just. And PDP is structured in a manner and manner that is fair and equitable for development in Nigeria. So for me it’s not about showing up at the rally, it’s about the people looking for an alternative, and that alternative is PDP that people like to associate with.

“Each election always has its difficulties and peculiarities. In 2019 we did not have a Labor Party. To me, it’s a challenge for PDP in certain parts of the state.

But again, the sentiment used in some parts of the state in 2019 is not the same sentiment used today. There are attempts to use the same sentiment by the ruling party. But the rejection by the people is very clear. So there is dynamism in politics. Things are changing.

“For us in the PDP, where we’re concerned, we’ve been interacting with people and we’re making pretty good progress. I am very confident that we will win the 2023 elections in the state and Nigeria. Well, I can say that we have no resources, but the ones we spend are our resources.

“The party in power is using public funds. But people are wise now. Until 2015, the PDP was in power, with more than 20 states under its control. regardless of the means then the opposition party took over the government. People came to a decision. And I believe the people made a decision this time because they are not satisfied with the APC government.

“So no matter how much money they would spend, people will take their money and vote against them.

“You can also see that our celebration today in Kaduna is absolutely accepted by the people everywhere. The issue now is: let the elections be free and fair. Some people think that with the BVAS the election cannot be manipulated. It’s possible. And I believe those in authority know it can be done. So let’s protect electoral materials and equipment to ensure that non-patriotic elements in our country do not undermine democracy.
