In France, for the second time in a month, thousands of strikers took to the streets in the old port of Marseille to protest the government’s planned pension reforms.
It was part of a nationwide wave of action against the proposals many workers see as unfair.
The main left parties in France support the strikers.
The plans include raising the country’s minimum retirement age by two years to 64.
