“Let’s secure and support the development of the APC; use your ballot as a weapon to bring robust leadership”

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has instructed voters in the state not to allow the opposition to approach the corridors of power, given their past of mismanagement and poor governance.

The governor was quoted as saying: “Do not give elements of the opposition ways and opportunities to take us back to the old days of insecurity and corruption. Our slogan is progress and that is what our party stands for.”

He spoke at Mallam Sidi, the Kwami local government headquarters, in continuation of his state-wide tour to present party flags to APC candidates for state assembly in accordance with the guidelines of the party’s national leadership.

He also called on the people of the state to support the sustainability of development by voting for all APC candidates in the upcoming 2023 elections.

Inuwa Yahaya then presented the APC flag to Hon. Shu’aibu Adamu as a confirmation of his candidacy for the Kwami West constituency, directing him to lead the battle for APC’s victory beforehand.

The governor also called on voters to ensure the sustainability of the development brought across the board by the APC administration.

“Let’s secure and support the development of the APC; use your ballot as a weapon to bring the robust leadership that will transform your constituency, state and nation. APC has done that and will continue to do so,” he said.

He expressed his optimism that the APC will win the upcoming elections at all levels due to the competence of the party’s candidates over those of the opposition and the huge development it has brought, which is why the party enjoys strong support in the constituency.

In his reply, Hon. Shu’aibu Adamu said the governor has brought unprecedented development to Kwami East and made sure the people of the area are ready to reciprocate the gesture by voting APC from top to bottom.

In Bojude, Governor Inuwa presented the party’s flag to Hon. Siddi Buba, the incumbent representing Kwami West constituency and Deputy Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly.

He said “the warm welcome you gave us to this constituency is clear evidence of your endorsement of the APC and its candidates, we have not let you down and never will”.

“Kwami West was politically left behind in the past, but APC has now made you feel like you belong; APC allowed your sons to run for election in different positions, therefore you should choose wisely in the upcoming election; vote from top to bottom on the APC,” he added.

The governor reiterated a call for people to collect their PVCs, emphasizing, “Whatever love you have for the APC candidates, you can only bring them to power with your PVCs.”

While responding, Hon. Siddi thanked the governor and the party for the final approval and reiterated his strong determination to lead the party to victory by mobilizing more votes and support for the party in every nook and cranny of the constituency.

The legislator talked about some of the development projects carried out in the constituency by Governor Inuwa Yahaya, including the construction of Bojude-Dirri Road where the 45 km journey has now been shortened to just 10 minutes, Jarkomeni-Daniya-Daban Fulani Road, Jarkomeni-Wuro Burno -Tsangayari-Malari-Garin Alkali Road, 42km Tappii-Kalajanga-Alagarno-Dinawa-Damba Barde-Abuja Bula-Girgam-Shongo Sarkin Yaki-Gombe Road, construction of a bridge in Titi, establishment/revitalization of healthcare facilities in every department, constructions of schools, among others.
