The Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 9 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Major AK Bello, said: “There is a ‘Still Water’ exercise that we are conducting now. The exercise aims to curb crime in Lagos State. In this operation, we decided to go to the Oshodi area and arrested 116 persons. We took them to our barracks where we did more research.
“We handed over those we caught with hard drugs and weapons to the police. We released nearly 80 individuals after we checked and found they were innocent, but we caught some red-handed stealing Indian hemp and others with guns.”
