Sunday’s All Progressive Congress received no less than 10,000 new members who overflowed from the People’s Democratic Party, People’s Redemption Party and New Nigerian People’s Party.

Tinubu’s campaign women’s leader, Hajiya Umma Salma Rabiu, who received the defectors in a grand ceremony at the Afficient Events center, congratulated them on freeing themselves from slavery, particularly from NNPP.

Shortly after receiving the defectors, Salama urged the new APC members to vote en masse for the Tinubu/Shettima joint presidential ticket, assuring that Tinubu would transform the entire country.

“Today we are gathered here to celebrate these 10,000 people who made a decision to ditch their various political parties for our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“These are all card-carrying members of the PDP, NNPC, ADC, PRP, ADP and other political parties, who have decided to leave darkness for light, to step back for progress, to leave fear and intimidation for honor and integrity .”

“As you can see today, these people will define the unity and progress of the APC, as the one and only party in Nigeria. The party that has the interests of the people, the party that wants to make Nigeria better and better and the party that loves Nigeria and Nigerians.”

“For most of these people, the journey started when the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, won the primary. They knew that Nigeria is about to regain its glory and the North is about to be great again.

“Without any doubt, Asiwaju’s antecedents as a freedom fighter (for the entrenchment of democracy in Nigeria), which culminated in his founding role in the formation of the APC, make his choice very unique to our party.”

In his remarks, Tinubu’s North-West Campaign Director, Baffa Baba Danagundi, said the team will do everything it can to help Tinubu win next month’s presidential election.
