INEC Re-Validates Adebutu, Akinlade As Ogun PDP Governorship, Deputy Candidates, Replaces Otegbeye’s Name As ADC Standard Bearer

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has revalidated the candidacy of Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu and Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade as the authentic governorship and deputy governorship candidates of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ogun State.

This was revealed in a revised list released by the electoral umpire on Thursday ahead of the general elections, the latest development is not unconnected with the recent judgement delivered by the appeal court which authenticated Hon Ladi Adebutu as the standard bearer of the PDP, his running -mate Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade and other candidates of the party across all elective positions.

Meanwhile, the name of Barrister Biyi Otegbeye has been removed as the gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Congress , ADC, the development coming on the heels of the recent judgement delivered by a Federal high court nullifying all candidates on the platform of the ADC in a suit filed by the Labour party in Ogun state.

Subsequently, Adelanwa Mayemilola Micheal has been recognized by INEC as the party’s gubernatorial candidate while Olatunji Suliat Nike was duly recognized as his running -mate.
