2023: Group Laments Ordeal In Motorcycle, Tricycle Associations, Vows To Work For PDP’s Adebutu Victory
In its meeting with the state youth leader of PDP in Ogun state, Oyejide Sunkanmi (SUCO) yesterday, ‘All Tricycle Support Group’ has chided the Ogun State government for using different transport associations and union executives of motorcycle and tricycle operators to melt hardship on operators across the state.
The group chairman, Waheed Adeleko, who was also the former Deputy State Chairman of Tricycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (TORAN) lamented that governor Abiodun has so much empowered different transport associations and union executives to highly extort and intimidate riders of Tricycle and Motorcycle in the state.
Adeleko added that the “All Tricycles Support Group” was formed by like-minded individuals across the 20 local government out of human feelings, in order to stand against the hardship and harassment being melted on them by the machineries of the state government called ACOMORAN, AMORAN, TWORAN, ROMO and ROTO respectively.

In his remark, the state youth leader, ‘SUCO’ expressed pity and encouraged the group to remain steadfast, adding that; government policy of treating motorcycle and tricycle operators badly through different union bodies was a clear demonstrate of insensitivity to the plight of the masses.
‘Suco’ added that he was aware of many operators whose motorcycles and tricycles were siezed due to protest and refusal to pay high amount of money for similar tickets to different associations, and are now back in the labour market, confronted with the hardship of how to make a living, which PDP government will never allowed to happen.
The group, however agreed to take solace in PDP’s Adebutu governorship ambition and promised to walk for PDP’s victory at all level in the forthcoming 2023 general election, in order to take power back to the good people it belongs, against the gross insensitivity of the current APC’s Abiodun government.
In attendance were Amos Ajeri – former state Public Relations Officer (PRO) TORAN, Teslim Shakiru, former local government chairman, TORAN, Odoogbolu, Adeoye Kazeem, state PRO, senatorial and local government officers and other members of the group.
