IREE POLY: NANS DSP Congratulates The Newly Elected Students Union Executives, Charges Them To Defend Interests Of Their Students

Very importantly, I’ll like to crave the indulgence of the management, lecturers and other staffs of this institution to kindly give necessary support in terms of advise, recommendation, finance and serve as IN LOCO PARENTIS to all students on campus, Comrade Elvis Ekundina says.

In a press statement released by him to The Eaglesforesight correspondent, below read the report in full:

“Solidarity greetings to the Rector and the entire management team of this institution, Outgoing Students Union executives, newly elected Students Union executives, Invited guests, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, and of the greatest Nigerian Students!!!.”

“It’s with great pleasure that I stand here as an Aluta figure in my capacity as the NANS National Deputy Senate President to join thousands of students in this institution in the epoch making event happening in the Students Union today.”

“No doubt, the heroes past of Students unionism of this great citadel have done so well in their own little capacity to ensure the emancipation of students from the shackles of the oppressor which has written their name beautifully well in the sand of time.”

“To the new leadership of the Students Union under the able leadership of Comrade Azeez Tajudeen Adebayo, firstly, I’ll like to congratulates you for having the mandate to lead thousands of students in the next academic/political session. I’ll like you to imbibe the principle of peaceful coexistence and ensure unity at all times.”

“Also, its important to always know that your primary responsibility as students Union leaders is to ensure you defend the interest of your students at all times without compromise. You should also focus on how to bring numerous developmental and progressive programs that would be of benefit to the welfarism of students and the Polytecnic community as a whole.”

“Furthermore, it’s essential that the management of the school through the health center priortise the wellbeing of students by ensuring provision of drug and health personnel’s at all times.”

“The institution should also reach out to well-meaning individuals in the society to as a means of fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibilities to invest in the school by building hostels in the school. This will no doubt reduce the stress faced by students regarding accommodation.”

­“I’ll also like to bring to the notice of the Osun State Government, the dilapidated state of the road leading to Osun State Polytecnic, Iree. This state of this road has brought a lot of hardship to students, lecturers, staffs and other residents of the campus environment. I use this medium to call on the necessary authorities to see to the rehabilitation of this road as a matter of urgency.”

”I want to once again in my capacity as the Universal Deputy Senate President of NANS and on behalf of the entire NANS National Council congratulate our brothers and sisters in the struggle on this great feat attained.”
