Thousands of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State today trooped to the streets of Abeokuta, the state capital for a solidarity walk for all the party’s candidates from presidential to the state House of Assembly.

The supporters, who sang solidarity songs, took off from MKO Stadium and ended the walk at NNPC junction, where they pledged their support for the APC government at the centre and for Governor Dapo Abiodun and other candidates.

They said in all the years of the existence of the state, no governor had impacted them positively on critical sectors as Governor Dapo Abiodun had done.

The governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun addressed the crowd and commended them for showing love to the party. He assured them of more support from the state government to the party.

He urged them to visit INEC office and Pick up their Permanent voters card (PVC), come out en mass on election day and vote for APC candidates.

He called on the people of the state to vote for all the party’s candidates, from president to state assembly, noting that the crowd had shown that the people were truly happy with the achievements of the government and not listening to concocted stories from the oppositions.

Also speaking about the march, the Ogun central senatorial candidate, Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salisu: “I appreciate our people especially my Ogun central senatorial people from Ifo, Ewekoro, Obafemi-Owode, Abeokuta North, Odeda and Abeokuta South people who took out time to participate in the walk. It shows that we are truly ready for the growth and development we desire in Ogun central senatorial District.

“Let me urge those who are yet to collect their permanent voters’ cards to ensure they do so, as another window has been made available for collection, he concluded.
