2023: You Can Do More On Youth Re-orientation —PDP Aspirant, Omooba Damilare Dre, Charges Ogun Legislatures

The year 2021 People’s Democratic Party chairmanship election candidate in Sagamu Local Government, Omooba Damilare Muhammadu Bello, otherwise known as Dre by his loyalists, has urge the Ogun State Legislatures to do more on youth reorientation.

The ugly happenstances in recently time, with several reported cases of teenagers and youth adults who were kidnappers killers and/or had their victims bodies mutilated for the purpose of parochial financial gain is quite disturbing, Omooba said.

He further noted that, shedding blood of the innocent for a presumed overnight success is now a bane of the Nigerian society, all in the name of ‘money ritual’, which has become unbearably unheard-off.

“Money making cum wealth creation is no doubt coined out of hardwork and due diligence.”

Dre said, “this is where state legislation is expected to swing into action. They have succeeded in making enabling environment for the activities of National Orientation Agency (NOA).”

“Howbeit, it is sacrosanct to also stressed the need for state constituencies representatives to perform oversight functions and collaboration with ministries, departments and agencies of the MDAs in seeing to budgeting, and its implementation.”

“Although a million naira is not a lot of money to average economic class anymore, due to level of inadequacy from those handling our economy policies, and while Ogun indigenes are expecting more; our present day legislatures should aid National Orientation Agency (NOA) to change our teeming youth in re-orientation activities and seminars which cut across our educational and religious sectors and using prestigious indigenes of the State with enviable repute as role models.”

Furthermore, I am encouraging them to start from disadvantaged level where corruption in our society has greatly devalued our sense of values, Omooba Damilare Says.

Omooba Damilare Muhammadu Bello charges the Government by reminding them that; it is time to swing into actions to curb this menace before it grows deeper into eating the future of our youths in this state.
