2023 Ogun Election: Ikenne PDP Assembly Candidate, Babajide Owodunni Dumps PDP, Adebutu For APC, Abiodun
The ogun state house of assembly candidate for Ikenne constituency, on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), Hon Babajide Owodunni has dumped the party and subsequently moved to the ruling All Progressive Congress(APC).
Owodunni is now supporting the reelection of the incumbent Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
In a later addressed to the National chairman of the party and made available to our correspondent, Owodunni declared his withdrawal from the house of Assembly election slated for March 11 2023.

He cited irreconcilable differences between himself and the governorship candidate of the party, Hon Ladi Adebutu, as the sole reason for leaving the party.
He said,“My withdrawal was a result of the frustration given to me by the PDP leaders and the gubernatorial candidate after my emergence as the PDP assembly candidate at the primary election.”
That due to the fact above, i hereby willingly withdraw my candidate as the PDP candidate for the Ikenne State Constituency,Ogun state .
Soon after announcing his withdrawal from the PDP, Promotional banners supporting the re-election of the incumbent governor and sponsored by Hon Babajide Owodunni surfaced online.
There is, however,no indication yet as to how the opposition party,PDP, would take this development, seeing as the election is in few day away.
