Sagamu LG Chairman, Hon. Odulate, Hosts MAPOLY SUG Leaders — Urges Students to Pursue Excellence with Dedication
…Comrade Temitope describes Chairman, Ogbeni Odulate as mentor and inspiration to young leaders
The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Honourable Jubril Olasile Odulate, has reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment and educational development as he played host to the leadership of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, at his office in Sagamu.
The delegation, led by the SUG President, Comrade Afolabi Temitope, a proud indigene of Sagamu, paid the visit to familiarize with the council chairman and seek his support for the administration’s programs and projects.
Speaking during the courtesy visit, Comrade Temitope expressed admiration for Hon. Odulate’s exemplary leadership style and dedication to community development, describing him as a father, mentor, and guide whose political journey continues to inspire young leaders across Ogun State.
He further disclosed that the union had unanimously resolved to appoint Hon. Odulate as Patron on Program and Project, in recognition of his contributions to youth advancement and good governance.

In his response, Hon. Odulate commended the student leaders for their proactive initiative and pledged his continuous support towards youth-oriented causes. He urged them to remain focused, disciplined, and consistent in their academic and leadership pursuits, stressing that excellence is attainable through hard work and determination.
“No ambition is too high for anyone who remains determined and diligent. I’m proud of Comrade Temitope for his outstanding leadership and for making Sagamu proud at MAPOLY,” Hon. Odulate remarked.
The council boss also encouraged the visiting students to be worthy ambassadors of Sagamu and to uphold integrity in all their engagements, both within and outside the academic environment.
The visit concluded with expressions of mutual appreciation and a renewed commitment to fostering collaboration between the local government and the student community.
