Remo Youths and Students for YAYI Launch “YAYI Assembly” to Deepen Youth Mobilization and Grassroots Development

In a strategic move to strengthen youth participation and foster collective development across Remoland, a coalition under the banner “Remo Youths and Students for YAYI” has officially launched its Monthly General Meeting, tagged “YAYI Assembly.”
The initiative, unveiled in Sagamu during Nigeria’s Independence celebration season, is described as a strategic platform for dialogue, mentorship, and mobilization among young people and students across Remo communities — from Sagamu to Ikenne, Iperu to Ode-Remo, and beyond.
According to the convener, Comrade Ambassador A.O. Popoola, the YAYI Assembly is envisioned as “a movement of young minds committed to community advancement and inspired by the transformative leadership of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI).”
He emphasized that the forum would serve as a unifying platform for youths and students to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and align their efforts with the ongoing developmental strides recorded across Ogun State.
“This is not just another meeting — it’s a call to purpose. We want to build a conscious generation that identifies with progress, capacity building, and leadership responsibility. Senator YAYI’s model of inclusive governance has shown that young people have a place in nation-building,” Popoola stated.

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, has earned widespread acclaim for his performance and developmental impact — extending from Ogun West, which he initially represented, to the entire Ogun State. His interventions in education, empowerment, infrastructure, and youth development have positioned him as a rallying point for progressive leadership in the state.
The YAYI Assembly, according to the organizers, will hold every second Sunday of the month at the Caucus 7202 Remo Office, Mosun Café, opposite Ikorodu Garage, Kara, Sagamu. It aims to promote civic consciousness, mentorship, and youth-driven community projects.
The group urged all Remo youths and students — both at home and in the diaspora — to take ownership of the initiative, describing it as a generational effort toward building a united and forward-looking Remo community.
“Together, we build. Together, we rise. Together, we move with YAYI for a Greater Ogun,” the statement concluded.
