Remo North SA on Students Affairs, Sikiru Saka Launches “Renewed Hope” Education Relief, Distributes Materials to Schools

Remo North Local Government has taken a major step towards easing the burden on parents and boosting learning outcomes as the Special Assistant on Students Affairs, Comrade Sikiru Saka (widely known as Aluta Simple), on Friday, October 3, 2025, flagged off the “Renewed Hope” Education Relief Distribution across five secondary schools in the council area.
The first phase of the initiative reached students of Ipara Community High School, Isara Secondary School, Ode-Remo High School, Saapade Grammar School, and Iyankan Secondary School, where hundreds of pupils received free notebooks and other essential learning materials.
The distribution, carried out in partnership with the Executive Chairman of Remo North Local Government, Hon. Olumuyiwa Sodade, was greeted with excitement and heartfelt appreciation from students, parents, and school administrators.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Comr. Saka described the gesture as an investment in the future of Remo North youths, stressing that financial hardship should never deprive children of access to education.
“This initiative is more than a handout—it is a deliberate investment in the future of Remo North. By putting educational tools directly into the hands of our children, we are equipping them with the means to dream and the courage to succeed,” he said.
Principals across the beneficiary schools hailed the program as timely and impactful. The head of Isara Community High School said the materials came at a period when many parents struggle to afford them, while the principal of Ipara Community High School described the excitement on students’ faces as “a story of renewed hope.”
