INEC Warns Nigerians Against Fake Recruitment Advert, Alerts Public on Fraudulent Website

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a strong warning to Nigerians over a fake recruitment advert currently circulating on social media.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Commission debunked the claims, stressing that it is not recruiting for any position at the moment. INEC further cautioned the public to disregard the advert, which directs unsuspecting applicants to a fraudulent website – www.inecrecruitment.com – to complete applications.

“The impostor behind this illicit recruitment exercise asked would-be respondents to log on to a fake portal – www.inecrecruitment.com. But INEC does not have any such portal,” the statement read.
INEC described the advert as the handiwork of criminal elements seeking to defraud innocent citizens.
“The Commission is not recruiting. We urge the public not to fall victim to the antics of these impostors,” INEC emphasized.
The electoral body urged Nigerians to always rely on its official communication channels for authentic information, while reiterating its commitment to transparency and public trust.
